For their World of Wonder issue Qantas Magazine commissioned Anna to illustrate their beautiful November issue cover and several features for the inside pages.
In her abstract, painterly style Anna illustrated concepts around the new breed of innovative hotels embracing themes from dark night sky tourism and sleep tourism to Ai concierge and robots warming towels and delivering room service.
Anna’s creative practice has drawn influence from living in different cultures. Her Greek heritage gave her a childhood growing up between Brisbane and Greece, she completed an artist residency in Barcelona after graduating from Queensland College of Art and Alberta College of Art and Design, Canada and she now lives and works as a creative director in Abu Dhabi.
All time favourite album to listen to while drawing? Definitely Bon Iver, any of his albums, oppph take you into a dreamy state.
Is there a film that has had a direct influence in your work? Michel Gondry ‘The Science of Sleep’ (It is the perfect mix of reality and whimsical dream world)
What gets you out of procrastination mode and into productive/creative mode every time? Getting out of my space, visiting galleries, coffee shops & people watching, movement is such a powerful creative enhancement.
